Driver taken to hospital after car crashes into tree in Bournemouth
A CAR crashed into a tree in Bournemouth this morning.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said the collision, which happened on Cavendish Road just before noon, involved a white Fiat Punto registered to a woman from Bournemouth.
The female driver was taken to Royal Bournemouth Hospital.
At 1pm the force spokesman said the vehicle is due to be recovered soon.
Fire crews from Springbourne and Westbourne attended the crash.
A spokesman from Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fortunately the driver wasn't physically trapped and firefighters were not required to cut anyone free. They made the vehicle safe and left the scene in the hands of police and ambulance.”
