DOZENS of firefighters are tackling a blaze at a workshop in North Dorset.
At around 3.30pm firefighters were called to a property in Stalbridge Weston, near Sherborne.
A spokesman from Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said: “The service received a call reporting a fire within a workshop at a property in Stalbridge Weston.
“Retained firefighters from Sherborne and Sturminster Newton were mobilised and arrived on scene to find the building to be well alight.”
Upon their arrival the firefighters requested further assistance from more crews to help bring the blaze under control.
An additional retained crew from Sturminster Newton and a crew from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service’s Yeovil Fire Station have been drafted in to help.
A hazardous materials officer is also in attendance as a precautionary measure.
