LOOKING to develop or change career? Looking for a new role that is rewarding and helps others?

Don’t miss the Recruitment Open Day being held at The Sheiling Ringwood on Saturday, March 28, from 10am to 2pm.

Staff and specialists will be on hand to provide information and advice about all the career options available to you and take you on a tour of the estate – they are looking to recruit new staff for a range of jobs and you are welcome to ‘drop in’ anytime between 10 and 2pm.

The Sheiling Ringwood is a residential learning and caring community in a beautiful setting where all members (staff and students) are valued as unique individuals and everyone learns from one another. It is an independent Residential Camphill School, College and Children's Home providing an educational and therapeutic environment for children and young adults with severe, complex and moderate learning difficulties and disabilities.

They provide day, 38 and 52 week placements for students aged 6 to 24 years who have special educational needs, including severe and complex learning needs, Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), challenging behaviour and communication difficulties.

All staff, whatever their job role, have the opportunity to make a real and positive difference in the lives of our students. Staff take a holistic approach to the work they do and all job roles make an important contribution in helping to grow the confidence and capabilities of their students. Staff describe it as a ‘special and inspirational’ place to work.

Due to expansion, they are seeking applicants for a range of vacancies including; Health Care Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Support workers and volunteer vocational workers. You are invited to come and see their school, college and residential houses and have an informal chat with their staff.

Ideally you will have previous relevant (SEN) experience, including autism and complex needs, in a similar organisation and /or relevant qualifications. But if you have the interest and motivation they will support you to develop your skills and knowledge, and for some, your career in Care, Education or work with Children and Young people.

The Sheiling Ringwood is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required for all positions. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. Please note that applicants who are foreign nationals or UK nationals who have spent time abroad, may be required to provide an overseas criminal records check or Certificate of Good Conduct, further details of which are accessible from the Home Office, or online at www.GOV.UK The open day runs from 10am to 2pm - feel free to visit anytime during these opening hours (refreshments will be provided).
