HOLLYWOOD actor Tamer Hassan took a break from filming his latest movie to stop by at Bournemouth’s South Coast Ink this afternoon.

The actor, who has starred in blockbusters such as The Ferryman, Batman Begins and Clash of the Titans, said he was in town visiting his cousin Valdon, who is a part-owner of the newly-opened business.

The 46-year-old said he had also wanted to see his close friend Calum Best, who is an ink ambassador of the franchise, following his stay in the Big Brother house.

Speaking from the shop, he said: “It’s Calum’s birthday and I wanted to see this place.

“I wanted to come to the opening but I was away filming so thought I’d kill two birds with one stone.”

And asked what he thought of his cousin's business venture, he said he was very proud.

He said: "This is the best place in Bournemouth right now. There’s fashion, tattoos, beauty – it’s a one stop shop.”

The actor and producer is currently filming his new movie Devil’s Harvest, which also stars Max Irons, Barry Pepper and Emilia Fox.

But his trip to Bournemouth was a welcome addition to his busy schedule.

“I’ve been to Bournemouth many times,” he said.

“I love everything about it – the people, the weather, the town, the culture. I love Bournemouth.”
