WE may not have woken up to any snow (unless you live in Dorchester or further up the country) but the day could have turned out oh so different if we had.

Here's what could/would have happened if the white stuff had materialised.

1. Public transport and the roads will grind to a halt

2. You’ll struggle to walk down Richmond Hill

3. Everyone else will have a sleigh and you'll wish you had one

4. Then you will desperately try to find somewhere you can buy one

5. People will start panic buying milk and bread

Bournemouth Echo: Simple White Bread

6. You will build a snowman/snow duck/snow cat/snow family

7. We’ll receive A LOT of pictures of snowmen/snow ducks/snow cats/snow families

8. Schools will close and you’ll say ‘that never happened in my day’

9. You will take a picture of the temperature in your car

10. And of a tape measure in the snow

11. Someone will go for a dip in the sea

13. It will take you a VERY long time to get to work

14. Newspapers will use phrases like White Out, Deep Freeze, Big Chill and Arctic Blast

15. The media will tell you it’s colder than Russia/Siberia/Canada

16. You will wonder what all the fuss is about, it’s only snow after all...
