Typically with the festive period, bin collections dates are thrown out of kilter. So, to save you from worrying about when you can dispose of all that wrapping paper, we have compiled a list below of all the bin collection dates over Christmas and New Year.

Poole

No bins will be collected between December 25 and December 31 inclusive.

Mondays

(Rubbish) Collections on December 22 and January 5

(Recycling n.b. collections are fortnightly but some residents will have bins collected on week 1 and some on week 2. Please check with Poole Borough to see which date applies to you)

Collections on December 22 (week 2), and January 12 (week 1), 5 (week 2)

Tuesdays

(Rubbish) Collections on December 23 and January 6

(Recycling) Collections on December 23 (week 2), and January 6 (week 1), 13 (week 2)

Wednesdays

(Rubbish) Collections on December 24 and January 7

(Recycling) Collections on December 24 (week 2), and January 7 (week 1), 13 (week 2)

Thursdays

(Rubbish) Collections on December 18 and January 1

(Recycling) Collections on December 18 (week 2), and January 1 (week 1), 8 (week 2)

Fridays

(Rubbish) Collections on December 19 and January 2

(Recycling) Collections on December 19 (week 2), and January 2 (week 1), 9 (week 2)

Bournemouth

The council’s website says scheduled recycling and waste collections will run normally throughout the festive period and New Year with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

For those who are affected by the missed weekly rubbish or food waste collections, they can leave their Little Bin and food waste container on the kerbside outside their property until it is collected.

For those who will not receive their fortnightly recycling collection then excess recycling will be taken on their next collection day.
