ARMED police rushed to a residential road in Ferndown on Thursday afternoon after a man was threatened with a knife.
Officers attended Medway Road shortly before 5pm after receiving reports of an incident.
Shortly afterwards, a man was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.
He has not yet been charged in connection.
A statement released by Dorset Police reads: “At 4.51pm on Thursday, November 20, 2014, officers were called to an address along Medway Road in Ferndown.
“It was reported that one man was threatening another man with a knife. The two men are known to each other.
“Officers, including armed response, attended and a 40-year-old man from Ferndown was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill. He is helping officers with their enquiries. No one was injured during the incident.”
