AN OVERTURNED trailer caused long delays in Broadstone on Thursday evening.Gravel Hill was partially blocked near to Darbys Corner as a result of the accident.Police warned drivers to avoid the area and there were delays on all approaches.
One driver said it had taken more than half an hour to drive from Poole town centre to Gravel Hill, adding: "It's absolute chaos everywhere."
The tipper trailer was carrying wood chips, and its driver - who asked not to be named - said he believed a tyre had blown as he turned the corner.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area to allow for recovery of the heavy vehicle later that evening.
No-one was injured in the incident.
