POLICE have made two further arrests following a raid at a suspected brothel in Parkstone.

Yesterday officers arrested two women, both from Poole, after raiding Enjoy Hair Studio in Ashley Road.

A spokesman from Dorset Police has today confirmed a man and a woman have also been arrested in connection with the investigation and are helping police with their enquiries.

The force spokesman said: “A 46-year-old man from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of keeping a brothel and money laundering.

“A 56-year-old woman from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of entering the UK lawfully without leave but remaining beyond the time limit and money laundering.”

Around half a dozen police cars and police vans were seen around the beauty salon yesterday. A Home Office Immigration Enforcement van was also at the scene.

Following the raid, a 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of money laundering and keeping a brothel and a 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion on managing a brothel.

Both are continuing to help police with their enquiries.

The salon advertises a range of services including beauty treatments and massages.

Yesterday, around half a dozen police cars and police vans were seen in the area throughout the day, as well as a Home Office Immigration Enforcement van.

Charlotte Standley, who lives in a flat behind the salon with her partner and three-year-old daughter, said officers arrived at the property at around 8.30am.

The 22-year-old said: “I was in my flat with my little one and we saw all the police activity. We had no idea what was going on. They went into the salon and in one of the flats.”

Miss Standley said building works had recently been carried out at the premises and part of the building had been sectioned off.

Tim Simpson, owner of Castaway Fishing Tackle, which is next door to the salon, said police cars had been coming and going outside the salon throughout the day.

“They have been here for hours,” he said.

“No one had any idea what was going on.”

“One woman, aged 39 from Poole, was arrested on suspicion of money laundering and keeping a brothel.
