A DEDICATED police unit tasked with clamping down on dangerous and inconsiderate drivers will be patrolling Dorset’s roads over the coming weeks.
The No Excuse Team will be out in force across Dorset as part of an initiative to help make the county’s roads safer.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: “The team aims to use a combination of enforcement and education to tackle the fatal five: drink and drug driving, excessive and inappropriate speed, not wearing a seatbelt, driver distractions, such as hand-held mobile phones, and careless driving.”
Between now and Saturday, November 1, the team will be targeting various accident hotspots across the county. They will also be focussing on locations where concerns about speeding have been raised.
The force spokesman added: “They operate 24-hours a day seven days a week. They could be anywhere at any time.”
