A LADIES’ luncheon charity event held by Lewis-Manning Hospice during Breast Cancer Awareness Month raised nearly £5,000.

The event, that attracted more than 70 people to Les Bouviers, Wimborne, was organised to raise funds for the hospice.

Celebrity and hospice patron Debra Stephenson, who hosted the lunch and entertained the women with a selection of impressions, said: “The ladies’ lunch is an unforgettable occasion. I felt privileged to be among such inspirational and warm-hearted people, entertaining and enlightening.

“It has become a very special occasion for the diary.”

A number of speakers, including former cancer patient Anne Bartlett, spoke at the event.

As well as lunch, the afternoon included a raffle, auction, balloon pop and other entertainment.
