AN OVERTURNED ice cream van caused delays for drivers on the Upton bypass this morning.
The driver, has been taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
Emergency services were called at 9.37am.
The eastbound carriageway of the bypass before Holes Bay was closed but police have since reopened one lane.
Police are arranging for recovery of the vehicle.
The local authority has been called to deal with an oil spill.
There are long delays in the area.
