WORLDWIDE logistics firm PSP has announced plans to open a new office in Poole.

The announcement was made at the PSP Southampton Boat Show, which the company has sponsored for the last seven years.

PSP’s Poole office, which will solely focus on freight and packing services, marks the latest stage in PSP’s expansion and brings its number of offices in the UK to four.

Managing Director Frank Dixie said: “Demand for our freight and packing services continues to grow, particularly in the commercial side of the business, and our new office will allow us to not only better service our existing customers in that area but also attract new businesses in the vicinity.

“The decision to open an office in Poole was a strategic one, with the borough and neighbouring Bournemouth fast becoming an epicentre for business and manufacturing. Only this month, Bournemouth was listed by Grant Thornton as one of the biggest growth places outside London, which supports our understanding that there is a great deal of business to be done there.”

PSP is looking for local staff for the office, which will be based in Poole Harbour and open in October.
