A MAN has been arrested after throwing broken glass from a ledge in Boscombe.
Police cordoned off part of The Crescent from about 4.15pm this afternoon following reports of a man on the ledge of the former bank building opposite the junction with Adeline Road.
Christchurch Road was also closed at the junction for a short while.
The man was allegedly smashing windows along the ledge and throwing the glass down into the street at passersby while shouting and swearing.
Police on the scene said he was "very angry about something".
Some six police cars and a riot van attended the scene and officers were able to talk the man down from the ledge, at which point he was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.
He is currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
