THE emergency services were called out this morning after a car crashed into a parked vehicle and rolled onto its side.
A spokesman for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said that firefighters from Springbourne and Redhill Park were sent to Wellington Road, Charminster, at around 5.30am.
It was believed that somebody was trapped inside the VW Golf, but on arrival it was found that everyone was safe.
Fire crews isolated the car’s battery and righted it.
One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
John Whittam, 28, who was visiting his girlfriend in Wellington Road, is the owner of the Vauxhall Corsa that was parked in the road.
John, a boxing coach, told the Daily Echo: "I was woken up at 5.20am by a loud bang.
"I was due to get up for work at 5.30am. I went out to my car and saw the ambulance and the VW Golf on its side."
He said his car had been written off.
"If that had been 10 minutes later it would have taken me out, so it's quite a relief," added John.
