PERFORMER Zoe Schwarz will sing the blues until midnight tonight to raise cash for a Dorset charity.

The singer is taking part in a 12-hour ‘gigathon’ in aid of the Richard Ely Trust for Young Musicians at the Portsmouth Hoy in Poole Quay.

The organisations supports young people learning to play musical instruments through bursaries.

Zoe – lead singer for the band Blue Commotion – said: “The Trust is an absolutely amazing charity, so I hope lots of people come along to listen today and donate a bit of money too.”

Mr Ely, who came along to watch the singer’s opening numbers, said: “The last time Zoe did this for us, she didn’t stop at 12 hours but ended up going on past 1am.

“I’m delighted to be here today to support her.”
