Bournemouth Air Festival 2014: is it going to rain?

THE sun failed to stick around all day on Saturday but if forecasts are correct we should be in for a brighter day on Sunday.

Check bit.ly/bmthair from your phones once you're on the beach for the most up to date information in case the weather does happen to affect the displays.

Here’s a look at what the various forecasts are saying so far though:

The Met Office predicts sunshine until around midday before cloud arrives but there will be sunny intervals for the rest of the day and highs of 19C. There's just a 5% chance of rain.

Met Check's aviation forecast offers the most promising forecast predicts no cloud base - with just slight cloud forecast for between 12noon and 3pm and highs of 23C.

The forecast on the Bournemouth Echo says we will have sunshine with a 0% chance of rain.

Meanwhile, UK Weather says it will be partly cloudy with highs of 22C.

Don't miss our daily live coverage from about 9am for updates, pictures and video, and if you're on a mobile, bookmark bit.ly/bmthair for a mobile-friendly version.

We’ve had a look at a range of forecasts - which are looking varied to say the least - but with 48 hours to go and the British weather being so unpredictable, it is fair to say anything could happen!
.
All that technology floating around in space and that's the best you can come up with, "anything could happen", why do the met office bother to give us all of these stupid alerts two days in advance if "anything could happen".
It was more accurate in the old days when my granddad used to hang some seaweed in his lounge, just by looking at it he could tell what the next days weather was going to be and he was 99% right all of the time.
Close the met office and get down the beach for some seaweed, you may be able to tell the weather more accurately.

My bit of seaweed is a bit droopy so I'll go with a bit wet Thursday, but drying Friday, too much cloud for the Vulcan to display on Saturday (you don't need seaweed for that bit of forecasting though), and the sun will come out Sunday just as the last display has finished.

I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure!

Who cares....same old planes, different year. How can anyone get excited about planes going up and down. Much more exciting things to do like watching my wall dry or catching up with Coronation St.
