AN investigation into a blaze which destroyed a £1.4million home in Branksome Park is taking place today.
The fire at the house in Western Avenue took place in the early hours of the morning on Sunday.
At the peak of the blaze, nine crews were in attendance and the flames could be seen lighting up the windows from the side of the road.
It was initially thought to be a garden fire.
The roof of the property has been destroyed and the windows on the first floor smashed.
Yesterday, a spokesperson said the fire investigation had not yet taken place.
The site has been secured by police.
A building surveyor has also been called to evaluate the safety of the property.
A scientific investigation team were also present on Sunday.
