A TEENAGE motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a horrific collision in Bournemouth.
A police spokesperson said he remains in a stable condition.
Emergency services rushed to Moorside Road at around 1.40pm on Friday and a 17-year-old boy was taken to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance.
Speaking at the scene, Sgt Nikki Burt, of Poole Traffic Department, confirmed officers were investigating a collision between a black Peugeot car and a motorbike.
She said: "The 17-year-old male motorcyclist has sustained serious injuries and has been airlifted to Southampton General Hospital where his next of kin have been informed and are with him.
"At this stage the circumstances are relatively unknown and we are appealing for any witnesses who saw the incident.”
Witnesses reported two air ambulances landing on the field at Fernheath playing ground.

Police closed the road to traffic between Montgomery Avenue and Verney Road for more than four hours but pedestrians were permitted access up to the police cordon, which surrounded the damaged car, motorcycle and forensics officers carrying out investigations.
A resident, who did not wish to be named, said she was indoors at the time of the crash.
“I heard a very loud bang,” she added.
“Then I could hear a woman screaming.
“I came out and there was a man on the floor and I called an ambulance.”
She said residents then came out onto the street and tended to the teenager while waiting for help to arrive.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance then landed at nearby Fernheath Playing Fields and the youngster was flown to hospital for treatment.
Officers could later be seen speaking to residents and a number of people came out onto the street to see what was going on.
Another resident, who did not want to be named, said he was saddened to hear someone so young had been badly hurt.
He added: “It is really shocking. I watched as the paramedics worked on him and just hope he pulls through.”
