A TEENAGER has been struck by a car in Charminster.

The incident took place this morning around 8.10am on Charminster Road outside the Co-op.

The road was closed between Maxwell Road and St Alban's Avenue.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the victim, believed to be male, was possibly 17 years old.

A spokesperson for South West Ambulance Service said the casualty had suffered minor injuries to their side.

They were treated at the scene.

Obviously nothing too serious then, so why the **** did the cops shut the road? Same old overreaction on their part.
No doubt another teenager with headphones on or too engrossed in their I-phone to be paying attention to what's going on around them.
