Police "very concerned" over missing Poole woman

Missing Poole woman Sarah Brown has been found 'safe and well'.

Police appealed for information on Saturday night saying they were 'very concerned' over the whereabouts of the missing 23-year-old woman from Poole.

Sarah had gone out for the evening on Thursday to the Jolly Sailor pub on Poole Quay from her home address on Ashley Road in Poole.

However, she posted on Facebook that her date had failed to show up and she was having a drink with a man called Steve instead.

She was reported missing on Saturday morning when she failed to turn up for work on Friday and yesterday.

But police said early on Sunday morning that she had been found safe and well.

How do we know she wasn't being held against her will Has no one heard of drink spiking Just because she was found safe and well That just means no physical trauma Who's to say what has happened to her mentally Let's get the full facts before we start throwing around wild accusations

I really think that any thorough telling off regarding this young woman's actions have probably already been done, from the Police involved in the search and her family. The comments regarding her choice of company and what she may have been up to are disgraceful and I think the Echo should start to reign things in a little in that respect given the fact that she has been found safe. The blessing is that she's safe and ok. Yes, the Poole community as a whole were worried and yes, she could have let people know all was well, but I seem to recall that there was a sad anniversary coming up from earlier Echo reports. She may have just wanted to 'escape' for a bit, albeit in a dangerous fashion. So pleased she's ok.

She is a 23 year old grown up FGS. She is obviously quite capable of looking after herself. Give her a break. The DE, as usual, was short of news. Silly Season.

Yes she is 23 but she had her family and friends worried plus her work were wondering where she was. If she felt like taking a sickie or going off for a couple of days that's up to her but lets face it, if a lone woman out at night says she's found company with a stranger then vanishes for two days it looks bad doesn't it?
There are far too many sad endings to stories like this so it is good she's fine but a waste of time and worry for all involved including the police.

Exactly. Not even a storm in a teacup. There are actually some decent people out there who do not take advantage of women. But no, you lot turn it into a drama.

None of you know any more details about what happened then are written here, so don't pretend that you do. The only people this concerns are the people directly involved, and to a degree, the Police. Whatever this woman got up to, she is an adult and can do what she likes within the confines of the law, and nobody can pass judgement on what they ASSUMED happened. Chill out and get of your bloody high horses.

Sounds like a real classy 'lady' being stood up on one date and hopping off onto the next poor unsuspecting gentlemen.

I do hope she has lost her job purely for the fact that there are many decent hardworking folk who wouldn't let the employers down like she has, or at least have the decency to inform them of their whereabouts.
