THOUSANDS of people are expected to flock to Bournemouth to celebrate the town’s annual gay festival this weekend.
Former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, 90s boyband Damage and X-Factor semi-finalist Misha B are set to perform at this year’s Bourne Free Festival.
In celebration of the charity’s tenth anniversary, the theme for this year’s LGBT event is ‘the decades’.
The parade, which looks set to be bigger than ever before, will start at 11am on the East Overcliff Drive on Saturday before making its way through the town and finishing up at the Triangle.
Entertainment will take place at the Triangle and at the Bandstand in the Lower Gardens.
Martyn Underhill, trustee of Bourne Free, said: “Bourne Free is all about celebrating diversity particularly in the LGBT community. The Bourne Free Pride Festival is important to integrate communities across Dorset.”
