COMMUNITIES across Dorset are being asked to get involved in managing flood risk in their area.
Many areas already have flood wardens who work with parish or town councils during flooding incidents, checking drainage channels, supporting people affected and attempting to reduce the risk and impact of flooding.
Flood wardens need to be good communicators, have an interest in their local area and be contactable during the day.
Training will be given on all areas of the work and there is an annual seminar, to share experiences and to learn more about flooding.
