THE teenage motorcyclist seriously injured in a crash at the weekend will not lose his foot as had been feared.
The 17-year-old will need to have his little toe amputated and will need skin grafts, but Dorset Police have confirmed he is now doing well in Poole Hospital.
The biker was involved in a collision with green Mini BMW car in Wallisdown Road around 5.20pm on Saturday.
He was taken to Poole Hospital suffering potentially life changing foot injuries, as well as possible pelvic and spinal injuries.
The incident closed part of the road for around an hour. Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone with information should contact PC Tim Brehmer 2133 on 101.
