POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a burglary in Poole.
Entry was gained to the property through the front door on Westminster Road at some point between 5.15pm and 6.50pm on Wednesday, May 28.
A Victorian caste iron safe containing a large quantity of cash and personal documents were taken.
It also contained a Cartier Ladybird coral red and black diamond brooch, several Scottish silver and gold agate brooches, a Rolex Prince watch, an IWC Schaffhausen watch, a Rolex silver hunter watch, an Omega Olympic pocket watch, a Lemania chronograph pocket watch and a number of Israeli commemorative coins.
Detective Constable Willie Linn, of Bournemouth CID, said he is keen to identify two men seen in the area at about 6.50pm.
“They are described as in their forties, with dark hair and left in a silver car that was parked at the front of the property,” he added.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered high value jewellery for sale in strange circumstances or for an unusually low price.”
Anyone with information should contact Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 28:343.
