Good. These machines are bad news, and cause major problems to lots of people. Anything that helps flag them up will help to get them limited to casinos, or banned.

Another one of the downtrodden poor thinking that fortune and prosperity lies within their grasp if they just feed one more £20 note into a hungry grateful droid.
The answer is not to be found in a bookies or in the bottom of a pint glass.

Get a job, and in just a few decades you will be richer in spirit, wallet and health.
There are no shortcuts.

I think you mean a couple of generations not decades. And that's only if we get a revolution in the meantime.

Don't build your hopes up.
They got a very low percentage of the votes with a miniscule turn out.

When it comes to the general election it won't just be the misguided OAPs that make the effort

It's a shame he didn't damage a few more !

These machines are evil and are there to exploit the naive and vulnerable. They should be banned or at the very least be properly controlled and regulated, of course this will never happen whilst the government can make a few quid as well.

The bloke should get a medal, not be prosecuted.

A friend who is a bookmaker told me of these machines as being more addictive than crack for gamblers. I have played them many times but refuse to now as it is an unsociable way to gamble, personally i would ban them.

I am a year into recovery from Gambling addiction. Without having the need to bemoan or get on a soapbox, these machines or FOBT's as they are know (the 'F' actually stands for FIXED) ARE destroying families, taking lives. They are the scourge of modern society. Why do you think bookies open up everywhere, for the horses? No! So they can install the maximum 4 machines. This chap must have been at his rock bottom to do this and I hope he can find help. I also hope any other men OR WOMEN living with this addiction. Here is a link for anyone who doesn't know where to turn.....
