POLICE were called to reports of a woman in distress in Boscombe on Friday night.

Officers rushed to the Boscombe Gardens area, along with paramedics from the South Western Ambulance Service, following emergency calls.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the woman involved was taken to a place of safety after calls reporting a concern for her welfare.
