Well folks, that's about it for our coverage of day one of the first-ever Bournemouth Wheels Festival!

We'll be live blogging all over again tomorrow from around 10am onwards, if not before, so we hope you'll join us.

It's been a great day and the weather was a lot better than expected (apart from at the end!) but tomorrow's forecast is looking fantastic with no rain in sight.

Feel free to check out all our videos and pictures from today over at our special section,

The schedule for tomorrow is here

Have a good evening all!

Not sure if there was any singing but there was definitely some dancing in the rain from these fellas earlier on.

Vintage cars on the prom at Boscombe, military vehicles and the Dakar Desert Driving: it's all in the video below showcasing highlights from day one.

These ladies came prepared for the rain!

Did anyone spot this futuristic contraption in the sky during the Monster Truck show?

The Pier Jump attempt won't be going ahead tonight because conditions are too wet, the Bournemouth Wheels Festival organisers have just tweeted:

We've just been sent this picture by Tess Charman of the motorcross stunts in the FMX arena earlier today. Thanks for sharing it with us, Tess!

Bournemouth Echo:

Our photographers and chief reporter Steve Smith are just heading down to Bournemouth Pier for the pier jump attempt.

We're hoping to live stream the daredevil attempt (technology permitting, of course!) so keep your fingers, toes and everything else crossed it works!

It is the first time we've ever attempted to live stream before so please bear with us!

If you're heading down to the Wheels Festival tomorrow and are wondering what's happening when, take a look at the schedule here

We've just been speaking to our photographer Richard who was at the Demonstration Straight and captured this little beauty on camera. He says it is worth a whopping £2.5m!!

Bournemouth Echo:

Perhaps we spoke too soon about the weather. It's raining and a quick check of the Met Office forecast says there will be heavy rain between 7pm and 9pm.

We will of course keep you posted if this has an effect on any of the events scheduled for tonight.

We'd love to hear what your highlights have been today, let us know below in the comments. Some fantastic pictures being tweeted.

Damien Cobb (c) Cobbster Productions has shared this video with us of a Monster Truck crushing some cars on Bournemouth beach earlier on. This isn't something you see everyday!

It certainly was...

People have been really enjoying themselves at Bournemouth Wheels Festival today. Here's a couple of highlights.

This picture gives a great impression on what the motorbike stunt riders are doing! Fantastic.

So, we've been really lucky with the weather today. And the good news is, tomorrow is set to be even better, with sunshine forecast from midday onwards, the Met Office say.

So if you're planning a Sunday trip, don't forget suncream and water - it's hotter than you think at the seafront!

Check out the latest forecast here

Today has been spectacular for Bournemouth! The whole town is buzzing - and that's not the throb of the engines either!
This photo is brilliant - and the good thing is there are two more days to come!

Reporter Caitlin Marsh said the motorbiek stunt show at the FMX arena won'tgo ahead at 5pm. Dan Whitby, one of the riders, said the wind and weather conditions weren't right.
However, they will be back with a show at 7pm ahead of the Pier jump!

So if you're still weighing up whether to come to the Bournemouth Wheels Festival tomorrow or on Monday, perhaps the gallery might convince you?

You can find our pictures from the day so far in our Day One gallery but here's just a taster:

We've said it before and we'll say it again: Monster Trucks rock!

Our reporter Caitlin has been busy speaking to people today and it sounds like the Monster Truck shows are proving incredibly popular among festival goers, with most people saying this is the reason they decided to come to the event.
We don't blame them, they are amazing!

And here's Jon's video for you:

We're just uploading a video featuring some of the highlights from the first day of the Wheels Festival, courtesy of our photographer Jon, which will be online very shortly.

Careful out there, the sun is very strong so don't forget the sun cream!

Excellent news - we hope everyone is enjoying themselves!

Now this is what we like to see. The rain is swirling around us but we're left soaking up the glorious sunshine.

Want to see some mini tanks? Driven by children? On the beach? Well, we have something that will satisfy all those desires! Hooray!
Here's some video captured by our reporter Alex Winter

And here's a Monster Truck in action!

Wow, the monster truck crowds are certainly rivalling the FMX crowds for numbers! Very busy out there now!

We are loving the sight of F1 cars on the overcliff - especially after what sounds like an exciting Monaco qualifying! Relive the excitement at Bournemouth's East Cliff!

Richard's sent back this video of the FMX team performing some awesome stunts near Bournemouth Pier

Blimey, check these out! They don't call them Monster Trucks for nothing!

Possibly the coolest pub we've ever seen

Oh dear, this little girl is finding the noise from the supercars too much to bear!

Now driving this would make the commute into work a lot more fun!

The first Monster Truck show should have just started on the beach, so hopefully we'll have some pictures of that for you shortly.

If you have any questions about what's happening today, then feel free to post them below in the comments.

We'll try to answer as many as we can or if we don't know the answer, we'll try and find it out for you!

Some of the spectators enjoying the show and getting a few snaps of the action along the way

We'd love to know what you've been out enjoying at the event so far, so don't be shy, leave a comment below or tweet us a picture @Bournemouthecho!

Looks like it is getting pretty busy out there! The sun has well and truly got it's hat on now so there's no excuse not to come down and check out what's on offer

WOWZA! The FMX arena displays are well underway! Check out Richard Crease's picture of this amazing trick!

It must be busy at Bournemouth seafront this lunchtime! The land train isn't running due to lots of people on the prom.

And here's how the Dakar Desert Driving is looking from the demonstration at the beach this lunchtime.

And these bikes are proving really popular with people today wandering about in the sunshine!

Fancy seeing some F1 cars in Bournemouth? Well forget the Monaco Grand Prix - check out these beauties on Bournemouth's East Cliff.

Thanks to Jim Geddes for sending us this picture of a 1933 Rolls Royce. Stunning car!

It's not just cars here at Bournemouth Wheels Festival - two-wheeled transport is getting a good showing as well.
