A CONCRETE slab was thrown into the glass door of a Poole jewellers shop in the early hours.
Dorset Police attended Raffles Jewellers, Ashley Road, just after midnight, Saturday morning, when the alarms activated.
A shop spokesman confirmed a glass pane was damaged, costing around £300 to replace. Nothing was stolen and police are treating the incident as criminal damage.
Police also said a man was spotted running from the scene but no arrests have been made.
The shop spokesman told the Daily Echo: “I was called out after midnight. This sort of petty crime is annoying and irritating more than anything else.
“And, of course, the cost of a new glass pane will come out of my pocket.”
