The first of the spring weather has brought the village market to life, with a sudden deluge of viewings.

Traditionally the Somerset villages have attracted buyers from London and the Thames Valley; understandably the wet weather put people off coming down with all the news reports of the flooding.

Of particular interest and in short supply are properties with five to ten acres. Culm View in Hemyock, a three-bedroom cottage with equestrian facilities, attracted six viewings in the first weekend with a sale agreed on the spot and disappointed under bidders.

Derbyshire’s are holding three property exhibitions in London this year, which is the ideal medium to showcase rural property to the London market.
