THE JURY in the trial of a cage fighter accused of murdering a Southampton dad has been sent out to consider its verdict.

Judge Guy Boney QC completed his summing up in the trial of Damon Wright this morning leaving the jury to make their decision.

The 32-year-old is accused of murdering Saints groundsman Kevin Wyeth, who was found dead in an alleyway in Woolston last August.

The prosecution claim that Wright brutally beat a "defenceless" Kevin, who they say was urinating when he was first hit.

Wright, from Poole, denies murder, claiming he acted in self defence.
