A CINEMA in Poole will be showing autism-friendly films in support of World Autism Awareness Day.
Empire Cinemas at Tower Park will be showing screenings of Muppets Most Wanted on April 2, at 4pm and Rio 2 on April 6 at 11.30am.
The screenings will have reduced sound levels, inc-reased lighting and no adverts to allow people with autism to be comfortable and feel fully included in the experience.
Jon Nutton, marketing director of Empire Cinemas, said: “We are keen to work with worthwhile regional charities like Dimensions.
“This screening will give people with autism and their carers an opportunity to enjoy Rio 2 and Muppets Most Wanted in a relaxed, autism-friendly environment.”
Tickets for the screenings, which both have a universal certificate, are on sale from www.empirecinemas.co.uk.
