Christ the King: why we love our school

YEAR 2 pupil Jack, aged seven, said: “I like going to the Rainbows club because you can talk to people. My favourite lesson is maths and I also enjoy playing football in the club after school.”

ANNIE, nine, is in Year 5. She said: “We have a lot of after school clubs here. I am in the choir and I play the flute. I’m also part of the Shine Club which goes to Canford School on Saturdays to do fun learning and meet up with other schools.”

PARENT Sibongile Kiflom has children in Years 2 and 5. She said: “I am happy with the secure and friendly school environment. Children are genuinely happy here and there are plenty of activities for them. The school is small and very friendly.”

MIKE Hedley has a son in Year 6. He said: “I am very happy with the school. My son does lots of sports such as football, volleyball, athletics, cross country and netball and he has passed the test to go to the grammar school.”

PE teacher Daniel Smith said: “I have been here since September and this is my first teaching post. I have been given a lot of feedback and advice and made to feel very welcome. Clubs include cricket, ballet, street dance, football, athletics, netball, cross country and swimming.”

NURSERY nurse Lisa Smith said: “We are a faith-driven nursery and teach our children that God created them to be loved and accepted for who they are. We prepare them through their learning for when they start school.”
