Two people released from mud at Burley

THE emergency services were called to help two people stuck in mud at Burley in the New Forest this afternoon.

Fire crews, police and the ambulance service were sent to the scene, off the Smugglers Road car park.

They helped two people, who were treated by the ambulance crew but were thought to be fit and well.

Fire engines from Burley and Ringwood, plus specialist appliances from Eastleigh, Fareham and Lyndhurst, were involved.
