On Monday 17th February, The Parlour introduced Thai Time, a new menu of Thai food which will be served every evening from 5.30pm until Midnight.

Located on Holdenhurst Road in Bournemouth Centre, The Parlour used to continue its daytime menu into the evening.

Ayan Araam, the owner of The Parlour's husband, said: “We got our alcohol licence and wanted something a bit different that goes well with the evening market.”

“The plus side of it is we serve Thai food with the 40 flavours of gelato, smoothies and have all the facilities of a coffee shop.”

They now have two experienced Thai chefs. One of them is Pimm Proudman, who previously worked in Thai restaurants in New York, as well as cities in the UK.

She said: “We have some dishes that you cannot get anywhere else in Bournemouth”, including the Summer Roll, the House Spring Roll with chicken and the Chef Special Stir Fry.

Although they are yet to advertise, Ayan Araam was pleased with the evening and said the first dish to be ordered was the Golden Chicken Curry.

Thai food uses many aspects of Southeast Asian traditions, including strong aromatic and spicy components, but Ayan explained that the Golden Curry “is the least spicy and the nearest to Indian cuisine.”

Ayan added: “our dishes are a reasonable price, not very cheap but around £1 cheaper than Koh Thai… and we do delivery too.”
