Camden Takeover, a new student night, kicked off at Bournemouth’s Old Fire Station on February 10. Every Monday, a mix of local, student and up-and-coming bands will be playing on the first floor, while the upper floor will see DJs playing electro, house and indie music.
Lauren Curley, General Manager for Camden Bar and Kitchen, said the launch was ‘awesome’. “We had a really good response to the bands, and we are just super keen for next Monday!”
Although Monday nights in Bournemouth are already filled with student nights, Curley said they felt there was an opportunity in joining live music and club anthems ‘all under one roof in one night’.
“We are big lovers of live music, and there's a lot of talented local bands out there. The live music gives the night an awesome atmosphere and gives Bournemouth a showcase for new music,” she added.
Next week will see LSA, with Will from the Maccaabees, coming to the venue.
The entry to the club on Mondays is £3.
