Latest storm brings scores of trees down as strong winds batter Dorset

    An amber warning for heavy rain came into force at 10am this morning and is valid until just before midnight tonight.
  • The Met Office has issued warnings through until 12pm on Saturday as another storm arrives at the UK
  • Dorset Police have warned the public not to travel unless "absolutely necessary"
  • Dorset Way still closed westbound while a fallen tree is cleared
  • A power cut is affecting Christchurch, Fairmile, Hurn and St Catherine's

The winds were probably brought on by Christchurch Council as a way to justify lopping listed and protected trees!!!

That is a good thing. although water companies are putting theirs up!!! i dont know why as there is tons of water lying everywhere

Just like to say when I drove past the other way at 2.30pm there were around six blokes standing looking at the tree.
You really mean to tell us it took over TWO HOURS to clear a small fir tree????

That is a good thing. although water companies are putting theirs up!!! i dont know why as there is tons of water lying everywhere

And their bore holes (needs no treatment) are full to bursting and will provide water for months even after it stops raining.

Will they reflect this in their prices? Will they hell,
