FOUR people were treated for hypothermia after entering the sea in Southbourne.
The coastguard were alerted to the scene shortly after 5pm on Saturday by Dorset Police after a woman and three others had entered the water near Gordon's Zig Zag on Southbourne Promenade.
Southbourne Coastguard Rescue Officers attended but the women were already safely on shore.
A South Western Ambulance crew treated all four people, who were thought to be suffering from hypothermia.
A rescue mission was also launched to rescue a group of paddle boarders at Boscombe beach yesterday.
