ONE lane of the busy A338 Spur Road has been closed to recover a vehicle from a ditch.

Police closed the northbound lane at the Blackwater junction at 11.30am today.

The black Volkswagen Polo ended up in the ditch at 6.30am yesterday morning in a single vehicle accident. The 27-year-old male driver was taken to Poole Hospital but was not seriously injured.

If it is the small green hatchback that is in the ditch by the pedestrian bridge, it is still there, and if it is that car, why close the lane for recovery, but leave the car in the ditch?

If you are still following this thread its still there this morning, probably a bad news day and they made the recovery story up
