It's just been made legal (2 days ago) to buy in shops for recreational use in some states of America. I am sure this is not good news because now Kids will think it's OK to use and we will see a lot of youth wasting their future and being "drop out bums". I think tobacco companies put some money in the pockets of whoever passed that law.
I hope dorset police focus more on the bigger problem of heroin and cocaine abuse in Bournemouth

i dont like the drug. turns dribbling idiots into bigger dribbling idiots. seen someone whos high? they cant talk or think like normal, they barely move around and when they do they cant tell what they are even doing. you cant make conversation with them, they are like zombies

i never understand WHY they take it, its medicinal because in small doses is does CERTAIN people with specific conditions some good,

its a drug taken by average morons to space them out even further between the ears and all they say is "well tobacco is worse/alcohol is worse" its like talking to a bloody MP only avoiding the argument with another non-sequitur.

they need to stop blowing money on drugs so they can forget how "bad" their lives are because they have no money, and start getting a proper job or education, get off their backsides and work for a living like real human beings do and stop wasting their lives in a cesspool of drugs and responsibility avoidance.

I have smoked it daily for over 20yrs. It helped me get my degree and I now earn over £100k in asset management in the City of London. I smoke a spliff on the way to the train station every morning then speak to traders, fund managers and lawyers to understand exotic deals.

Boscombe is where I grew up. Not ashamed of my roots thanks.
.
If you could read a bit better you would see I've been working in the City of London for the last 15yrs.

I spend most midweeks in Surrey these days but always spend weekends in Bmth where I've bought property as it's my home.
.
You would be surprised how many commute on a daily basis. Also £100k is not that much for the City.

What represents a typical 'stoner'? Most people who smoke regularly keep it very discreet so you really wouldn't know. All you see are teenagers who can't handle it just like alcohol but you don't call them typical alcoholics.

Once again £100k is not that much for a high pressured job where I have to earn £10k gross just to cover my travel. Then there's the upkeep, bills for 2 properties. Surrey is pricey because it's nice and so close to Ldn. Mortgages ect. Demanding family.

Do you expect the general ECHO reader to believe anything other than what they've read in the newspapers?

It's pointless trying to have a rational argument with these people.
Carry on smoking & good luck to you.

Seems that too many people watched & believed the ridiculous 'Just Say No' Government campaign of the 80's..Remember the Grange Hill lot? They even went to the White House & sang their daft song...Turns out that half of them were smoking the herb even while appearing with Nancy Reagan publicising the highly effective 'War On Drugs'...Billions spent yet a total failure.

What has your sober and bitter head got you?[/p]
Forgive me if I smell an ever so faint whiff of B.S here, even it were true do you think you represent a typical stoner?[/p]
Lol why? I can assure you I am telling the truth. . How do you want to prove it? There's a pub on Moorgate called the Globe. Meet me there Mon between 12:30-1:30 and I will show you! . What represents a typical 'stoner'? Most people who smoke regularly keep it very discreet so you really wouldn't know. All you see are teenagers who can't handle it just like alcohol but you don't call them typical alcoholics.[/p]
They even went to the White House & sang their daft song...Turns out that half of them were smoking the herb even while appearing with Nancy Reagan publicising the highly effective 'War On Drugs'...Billions spent yet a total failure.[/p]
Cheers glad there's some sane people about. Reefer madness was madness in itself. I'm still confused tho as when I lived in the states mad meant angry?? HRH of Boscombe

Not likely to give up a days work to meet a member of the pro pot lobby, the NHS do not pay me as well as your employer supposedly pays you.
I do meet a lot of people who have been heavy users of the so called “wonder drug” and not many of them are what I call “high fliers” usually unemployable, claiming benefits, quite lonely and depressed types, most destined to not achieve much in life, even I wouldn’t say that’s a typical stoner but it is closer than the “100K, two houses” profile

Smoking weed isn't such a bad thing, it has so many positive affects as well as the negative but that is the same with everything. There are so many reasons why people start to smoke weed. Smoking weed actually has positive affects on life, but like anything if it is abused it can lead to long term negative affects. Smoking tobacco and drinking alcohol are as dangerous in their own ways but people see them as legal so that they can't be as harmful, but is that true? All of the people that are in hospital with cancer from smoking and liver failure from drinking why are we not looking into making those substances illegal too? When I get "stoned" with my friends we don't go out and cause trouble, start fights ect.. yet Bournemouth on a Friday night, what about all the people that get arrested due to alcohol related incidents? All the people sons and daughters that end up in hospital due to drunken fights. Don't know about you but I have never seen a bunch of stoned people fight and I highly doubt I ever will, maybe only over a .8 (Only stoners out there will understand ;) )
Smoking weed has opened my mind and made me realise what I want to do in life and where I want to be when I'm older. I work full-time Monday-Friday. I am 19 years old and can afford to live by myself, fine.

Also due to recent research which you will be able to find out anywhere online over the last few years they have also found that Marijuana can be used for medicine.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I really believe that but its not fair that we should be told what to think. Everyone's mind is individual.

crispy_pants the somalis are the most ruthless drug gangs in London. Look up the Woolwich boys. They're just one gang of runners.
.
I was in Camden Lock a few years ago before it was cleaned up and you could believe it was legal to deal on the streets. These guys really don't care and run out the competition straight away.
.
My friend smokes role ups and I sheltered him from the wind in a doorway and within ten seconds 6 or 7 somali gang kids started approaching us fast. They realised my friend was just making a cigarette when they got close and we had a quick laugh as we know they thought we were doing business on their patch.
.
They have no problem killing someone over what they consider their territory. The authorities really need to do something quick if this is becoming the case in Boscombe. If you think it's bad now, you're in for a shock.

Some of the most successful people I know smoke weed every day. I do as well. I am an ex-pat who left the UK many years ago and I have managed to pick up weed in every country I have lived in and have visited.

For some of us more uniquely talented people, it only helps to enhance our rare skills even further, thereby increasing the demands of our salaries.

Without a morning and lunchtime spliff, my work rate and problem solving would be nowhere near as effective and my contracts nowhere near as frequent or as lucrative.

Down-and-outs will always be down-and-outs regardless of whether they smoke weed or not. It's unfair to blame weed for the general lethargy seen in most people nowadays.

crispy_pants the somalis are the most ruthless drug gangs in London.

What represents a typical 'stoner'? Most people who smoke regularly keep it very discreet so you really wouldn't know. All you see are teenagers who can't handle it just like alcohol but you don't call them typical alcoholics.
I wish we could cancel NI contributions for useless drips like you? What have you ever done that's contributed to society ?

Forgive me if I smell an ever so faint whiff of B.S here, even it were true do you think you represent a typical stoner?
Lol why? I can assure you I am telling the truth.

How do you want to prove it? There's a pub on Moorgate called the Globe. Meet me there Mon between 12:30-1:30 and I will show you!

What represents a typical 'stoner'? Most people who smoke regularly keep it very discreet so you really wouldn't know. All you see are teenagers who can't handle it just like alcohol but you don't call them typical alcoholics.
I wish we could cancel NI contributions for useless drips like you? What have you ever done that's contributed to society ?
rather ironic. a banker asking an NHS employee what have they ever contributed to society. bankers have created the square root of feck all in our society. in fact they have been a huge net drain. paid themselves huge bonuses in the up years and bailed out to the tune of 500 bio quid in the down year (yes year not years).

Congratulations to Dorset police. Cannabis is a complete and utter pain. The people my age who used it in the '70s are a nightmare for anyone to live with because of their paranoia and periodically cost the NHS a fortune with their breakdowns and tantrums. The ones smoking it now think they are so clever and cool when in fact they are just stroppy and lazy. Cannabis should never be legalised as it drags users and everyone around them down. The worst thing about it is the bus drivers using it don't realise it is in your system for over a fortnight, putting all their passengers and other road users at risk. No wonder they can't remember where the low bridges are or what height their bus is. And it makes men grow breasts.

I deal with fixed income OTC CPs, CDs and IRS CDS swaps. That as exotic as product gets. Derivatives do the hedging

Shoebury I've never heard of a long dated CP. They're all under a year!!! That's the point! You buy them at a discount so your income is a capital gain on your principle.

LMAO!
Nice one. People just take everything on face value & believe it.

Throw a bit of knowledge & truth at them & they are normally baffled.

I've known & still know loads of people who smoke hash or whatever you chose to call it. I don't recall ANY of them growing breasts. I do know lots of people who have suffered that problem along with milk production, after being prescribed various drugs by their DR. BTW I'm talking about men!

The myths peddled by Governments & drug companies are ludicrous.
Of course there will be a small % of people who smoking weed becomes a problem but that's no worse then alcohol/gambling/Pre
scribed drugs (Mothers Little Helpers).

Seems that plenty people smoke recreationally, yet seem to lead productive lives? Trouble is the Right Wing Cons of a certain age & beliefs always focus on a small minority.
Lots of people smoke weed even pillars of the community! (shock horror).

If you're living a productive, happy life & hurting no one then why is it so bad?
As you said. They should go back to Countdown & tut, tutting at the 'News' that Murdoch & his liars peddle!

You seem to have a stutter :) If you were asking a question I meant Pavlov's Dogs and it's relevance?

You're sentences and lack of punctuation are hard to understand and not a logical way to communicate.

I deal with fixed income OTC CPs, CDs and IRS CDS swaps. That as exotic as product gets. Derivatives do the hedging

Haha, clearly getting the info from Google or something!
I didn't mean Shoebury!
Really? As I already said derivatives deal with hedging.

However why would you need to hedge a CP?

Shoebury I've never heard of a long dated CP. They're all under a year!!! That's the point! You buy them at a discount so your income is a capital gain on your principle.

Funny you mention North Korea, the pro pot peeps who go on about Nrtherlands, Uruguay, Portugal and 2 states in the USA, never mention North Korea and yet cannabis is completely legal to grow it smoke it and even sell it, sounds like your kind of place but you wont make so much money with your "exotic deals" there though.

A Doctor without a PHd? You're the one that needs help with fantasies!
.
How far does this go? You can get in a lot more trouble for miss leading patients for your own mental or physical thrills than smoking a blunt!
.
If you're not some psycho, weirdo how do you treat these people then if you're not a doctor, Dr Martin?
I think you are the only fantasist on this comments page HRH, 100K and two homes!
One owned and one rented!? 100K is not a lot for a job in the City as I've said.
.
Stop avoiding the question about what you do that makes you an expert. Dr Martin with no PHd!
Is the house that you have rented, do you pay for your own electricity and does it have an indoor gardener?
Still can't answer the question then floor scrubber?
.
Lol I don't need to do that!. The rented one is in a gated community so we all pay for the outside gardeners.
.
They're probably cheaper than the uphill ones you pay for though!
.
Is it gated so that you get a little longer to hide any illicit substances just in case the police come along with their battering ram
Haha again you can't answer!
.
It's gated because it's nice and exclusive. (For people with REAL jobs)

I'm a busy man so been giving the cafes a miss for the last 15yrs.
.
I've offered to prove what I do and will be in the Globe tomorrow lunch and so on.

A floor scrubbing queen like you doesn't you can't even admit what you do far less what you are lol.

(For people with REAL jobs)
.
Which part of North Korea are you from where Police raid houses for personal use weed?
.
You're breathing in too much bleach from that mop bucket ;)
I choose not to answer, I wont be dictated to by a stoner with his fantasies, don't worry Boscombe I am not going anywhere.
Are you sure it's all for personal use?, I would ask the boys in blue to get the thermal camera out on your gaffe
Go on then and then get back in the kitchen Mrs Martina...
.

Oh hello you, saved up enough money to use an internet cafe
I wondered where you had got to, still dreaming about your alternative lifestyle
'Oh hello you'!? OMG. What closet of your mental asylum are you waiting to crawl out of?
.
I'm a busy man so been giving the cafes a miss for the last 15yrs.
.
I've offered to prove what I do and will be in the Globe tomorrow lunch and so on.

I thought you had given up; stoners usually do, why I should think that you would be any different
If you were a city boy you would be foolish advertising that you smoke an illicit substance on the internet, that’s why the globe you were referring to is probably the globe café on the Windborne road

Haha. Still can't admit you're only sociology knowledge is Mr Muscle doesn't like standing next to Mr Sheen ;)
.
My registered name here is Quentin Godfrey (it's so true lol). Who would be foolish enough to use their real details on an online forum anyway? That would be really stupid!
.
Why would I want to admit to something I am not
Well Quentin if you think if the police were inclined to look you up do you think the false name would throw them off the scent ?
I mean how stupid can someone be if the openly brag that they smoke cannabis on a public forum.
Why they even be bothered?
.
How many people have been convicted for smoking weed at home in the last 20-30yrs? How many have even been arrested for smoking at home?
.
You're the one on real drugs if your think the Police are going to get a warrant to search ISP records because someone says the smoke grass!
.
You really do live in a closet literally lol

You're the one that needs help with fantasies! . How far does this go? You can get in a lot more trouble for miss leading patients for your own mental or physical thrills than smoking a blunt! . If you're not some psycho, weirdo how do you treat these people then if you're not a doctor, Dr Martin?[/p]
I think you are the only fantasist on this comments page HRH, 100K and two homes![/p]
One owned and one rented!? 100K is not a lot for a job in the City as I've said. . Stop avoiding the question about what you do that makes you an expert. Lol I don't need to do that!. The rented one is in a gated community so we all pay for the outside gardeners. . They're probably cheaper than the uphill ones you pay for though! .[/p]
Is it gated so that you get a little longer to hide any illicit substances just in case the police come along with their battering ram[/p]
Haha again you can't answer! . It's gated because it's nice and exclusive. (For people with REAL jobs) . Which part of North Korea are you from where Police raid houses for personal use weed? . I suppose there is a fairly thin line between personal use and dealing make sure you don’t cross it.
I think that’s the shame of this country we have someone openly bragging about smoking an illicit substance and the likely hood of something being done about is minimal
Not really a “war on drugs” is it

Not really a drug though is it? How many people have ever died from a weed overdose?
.
You watch too many American movies!
.
Smoke a spliff and read a book. Learn some real facts and in about 50yrs you might get that PHd and become a real doctor.

Of course it is a drug and to some quite a dangerous one, I would suggest you go to St Anne’s in Poole and ask a few Psychiatrists there.
Ah the old no one has ever died from a weed overdose bit of a lame and narrow reason for smoking weed.

I know my facts re cannabis and it’s affects on mental health I don’t need a PHd to do that.

So you finally admit you don't have a PHd and you're NOT a doctor lol!
.
I've smoked daily for 20yrs and I do have a degree, a career and quite a nice life. I still have to work hard though.
.
You know nothing 'Porter Martin'.
.
BTW it's not lame when it's true! Aspirin's killed more people than grass doughnut!
Mmmmm I'm going to try and find some doughnuts...........

My you are a quick one, I stated on the 4th of Jan (on this story) that I was not a doctor and didnt have a Phd, must be your memory playing up all that dope you smoke.

Aspirin may have killed more but think of all those people who have Schizophrenia, depressed, paranoid people who are under years if not decades of care and medication usually an Anti Psychotic like Haloperidol and Clozapine (which has fairly bad side effects)

Having the munchies is another side effect of weed use enjoy your doughnuts, stoner

Once again you still won't say what you actually do!?
.
I spend a lot of time on trains and get bored (even when stoned).
.
The problem is you call yourself 'Dr Martin' and say you work for the NHS treating mental patients but you're not really a doctor and don't have a PHd??? All very confusing.
.
Yes it may highlight underlying issues but that's a good thing in my opinion. Schizophrenia, depression and paranoia should be dealt with and not hidden. Weed doesn't cause these issues but it does bring them out in people with them already.
.
BTW I prefer Jelly Beans and ice cream :)

Well Quentin, it’s not only doctors that treat patients, there are nurses therapists (psychological and occupational) pharmacists and Health Care Support Workers, my username has no relevance to my role I do within the NHS, that may be a shock to you but I am sure you can get over it

The amount of people who are within the services that suffer from the effects of smoking your righteous herb shows that it is something that is not hidden

Ah the old “weed doesn’t cause mental illness” it has not been proven “yet”, in the future I predict causality will be found, probably to certain groups, so until that point weed may not cause these issues but it certainly makes them worse.

Enjoy your jelly beans and ice cream

They all carry out the Doctor's instructions lmao! Goffas!
.
Also which one of those muppets are qualified to diagnose mental illnesses? Just like dinner ladies thinking they're teachers.
.
What do you mean yet? It's one of the oldest plant varieties on the planet? There's been plenty of time to prove it but still no-one has died!
.
Wake up! These young twerps in trouble are just using weed as an excuse because the bad childhood one's worn a bit thin!
.
Steak, chips and Ben & Jerry's tonight followed by Monster Munch and Wine Gums. It's the 3D electric toothbrush afterwards that really makes my head buzz though lol.

The Consultant is the person that makes the official decision regarding diagnosis although experienced health professionals could make an intelligent guess and be right or nearly right most of the time.
Stoners will believe that causality will not be found and therefore weed is okay, may not have killed anyone directly but ruined a fair few lives though, so you think these “young twerps” are making it up?
