A PUBLIC consultation for the proposed improvements to a Bournemouth road has been extended until Monday, January 13.
Residents and businesses are being invited to have their say on measures to change the area of Christchurch Road between Southbourne Road and Exton Road.
The works are part of Three Towns Travel, a programme of transport amendments across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. Locals are invited to have their say on a range of measures, including: n New segregated cycle lanes between Southbourne Road and Exton Road which will separate cyclists from vehicles.
* Raised crossing points for pedestrians across side roads.
* A new signal controlled crossing point at the junction of Exton Road.
* Upgraded lighting and bus stops.
* Removal of on street parking between Warnford Road and Exton Road.
Ian Kalra, Bournemouth Borough Council’s head of transportation services, said: “We have extended the consultation period for the Christchurch Road proposals to allow extra time for the festive season, so that as many people as possible have the opportunity to have their say. “ Visit threetownstravel.co.uk
