Search continues for missing Poole man Matthew Purser last seen a week ago
FEARS are mounting for the welfare of a Poole man who was last seen at his home address a week ago.
Officers searching for Matthew Purser have released a picture of him in the hope someone will contact them with information.
The 30-year-old has not been seen since leaving his Jellicoe Close home on foot around 7pm on December 21.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said on Saturday morning that Matthew was still missing.
It is believed Matthew became upset before leaving his family. Now officers are urging him to get in touch, to let them know he is alright.
Police Constable Dave Mearing, of Poole Police, confirmed: “I understand that Matthew had become upset before he left and his family is concerned that he may come to some harm.
“He did not take his car or mobile phone - he only has a bank card and a small amount of cash with him.
“It is important that Matthew, or anyone who knows of Matthew's whereabouts, comes forward as soon as possible.
“I urge Matthew to get in touch - we simply need to know that you are safe and well.”
Matthew is white, six feet tall, of a large build with short dark hair. He has pale skin, a round-shaped face with some stubble when he was last seen. He also has a large scar across his left hand.
Police say he was wearing a grey hooded jumper with a navy body warmer, tracksuit bottoms and Puma trainers.
Anyone with information on Matthew's whereabouts should call Dorset Police on 101 quoting incident number 24: 517.
