A PLEA has been made for information about a young Lithuanian man who has been missing for two and a half years.
It comes as part of Dorset Police’s Countdown to Christmas campaign where officers are hoping to reunite families with their loved ones in time for the festive holiday.
Jurij Sliachtecov, of St Peter’s Road in Bournemouth, was reported missing before 5pm on Sunday, May 1, 2011.
He was only 21 at the time and had spent the previous evening with friends in Bournemouth.
Originally his friends believed he had returned to Lithuania because he had left his bank cards and clothes, but taken his passport.
But Lithuanian authorities have confirmed that he has not entered the country and police officers think he has been staying with somebody.
Jurij is white, of eastern European appearance, five feet six inches tall, of slim build and has short brown hair.
If you have any information call 101.
