With the Christmas period upon us I would like to share a personal experience with you about drinking and driving after a "social session" with friends.

Last night I was out on a pre-Christmas evening with friends. I had a few beers, followed by a handful of glasses of vintage red wine. Despite the jolliness, I still had the sense to know that I was over the limit. That's when I decided to do what I have never done before: I took a cab home. Sure enough, there was a police road block checking for intoxicated drivers on the Wareham Road by the Skoda garage, but since it was a cab, they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident.

This was both a great relief and surprise because I had never driven a cab before. I don't even know where I got it from and, now that it is in my top barn , I don't know what to do with it.

Best of wishes to all and do drink responsibly this holiday season

And the picture of a near 20year old Luton (Bedfordshire Fire Service) registered fire engine has what exactly to do with this story?

Never heard of a Ford X Max before. Know of Ford S Max and C Max models, of which both S and C are next to X on the keyboard...

It might well be there was some poor driving involved but that junction isn't the easiest to cross in a car from Sheringham Road as you have a bend on a hill on one side and double parking on the other restricting visibility. Sadly some people come down the hill at excessive speed and the person trying to cross over from Sheringham Road may only see them at the last second.

Hope the woman involved is ok.

The Ford X Max is probably part of the Ford Gocus range.
