RECORD: The Bishop of Southampton, Jonathan Frost, was guest of honour at an exams celebration evening at the Bishop of Winchester Academy in Bournemouth
BOURNEMOUTH’S Bishop of Winchester Academy’s exam results celebration evening was attended by hundreds of parents and friends.
More than 100 students from the class of 2013 returned to receive their GCSE certificates and the current Key Stage 4 students were awarded for progress in their curriculum subjects.
Principal Paul McKeown welcomed the guest of honour, the Rt Revd Jonathan Frost, Bishop of Southampton, to the presentation evening. As guest speaker Bishop Jonathan congratulated the students and staff for making 2013 a definite year for celebration: “It’s been a record year for the academy with the best examination results to date.”
