Body found on Dorset beach

Bournemouth Echo: Body found on Dorset beach Body found on Dorset beach

A BODY has been discovered on a Dorset beach.

Detectives confirmed that a man had been found on the rocks under the cliff at East Beach, West Bay.

It is believed a dog walker alerted officers at 7.45am this morning.

The beach has been cordoned off while dozens of officers remain at the scene.

Detective Sergeant Steve Broadhurst, of Weymouth CID, said: "While we are keeping an open mind all the signs are that this is not suspicious."

Many shocked dog walkers and residents gathered nearby as the scene was examined.

A number of police and forensic team vehicles are in the car park.

The body has now been removed from the beach.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Dorset Police were called at 7.45am on Sunday to a report of a possible body on the beach at West Bay.

"A middle-aged man was located below the cliffs.

“His injuries were consistent with having fallen from a height."

Weird! I've just compared the location with that of the body in Broadchurch episode 1 and they are both in exactly the same place! The profile of the cliffs match exactly - wonder what's going on?

What's even more weird is someone has died and you're speculating on connections to a fictional TV show. Life isn't one big conspiracy there's probably nothing going on, someone has died which is terribly sad especially for their family, friends and the people who found them.
