A TEENAGER was found injured in the road in Bournemouth this morning.
Police and the ambulance service was called when the girl was found in Fernheath Road in West Howe at 10.30am complaining of leg and head pain.
Police closed the road while the girl helped into an ambulance on a spinal board as a precaution. More buses were diverted during the closure.
The teenager was taken to Poole hospital while police began enquiries into whether she had been the victim of a hit-and run car crash.
Brian North, aged 67, said he got off a bus when the youngster was on the floor being spoken to by police.
He said: "It was right near the bus stop and I saw her on the floor.
"There were about six people here at the bus stop and the police were also stopping traffic."
