AN ANNUAL Christmas procession to help children around the world will take place in Wimborne this month.
The 25th Save the Children Parade will be held on December 14 with the aim of raising money for the charity.
More than 50 floats created by a multitude of schools, youth groups and pre-schools are expected to be involved in this year’s event, which will be led by the Gugge 2000 band.
There will also be vintage cars, walking groups, Morris dancers, the Bournemouth Carnival Band and more.
The procession will begin from Cobhams in Brook Road at 2.15pm before travelling to the Square, and will complete a full day of activities in aid of Save the Children.
Visitors to the town centre during the morning will be able to enjoy a climbing wall, face painting and glitter tattoo artists, as well as performances by a children’s entertainer, the Allenbourn School Band, the Bourne River Morris Men and storyteller Jane Marlow.
