OVERNIGHT roadworks are set to start on the A31 at Ringwood from Monday.
The Highways Agency said it would be working on the bridge section at the town each night between 10pm and 6am until Thursday, December 5.
Gemma Luckhurst, Highways Agency project sponsor, said: “The work will involve the replacement of bridge joints, which help the bridge adjust to changes in temperature, benefitting road users by ensuring the journeys continue without the need of short-notice emergency work.
“We will be replacing the joints at the junction and have minimised disruption by planning the work so that road users continue their journeys using the junction slip roads when the bridge is closed overnight.”
