A DORSET MP has been honoured for his work introducing Ryan’s Law into an Act of Parliament.
Robert Walter, MP for North Dorset, was presented with a Mothers Against Murders And Aggression (MAMAA) UK award by Cathy Franklin, from Blandford, for helping her campaign to create the law. The law restricts to 30 days the time victim’s families have to wait before their loved one’s body is released for burial, provoked by Miss Franklin’s 18-month wait for her two-year-old son’s body to be released.
